Head of Aphrodite-Venus in Parian marble, dated to the 1st century, originating from the excavations of the Roman villa of Chiragan in Martres-Tolosane in 1826. It is thought to be a replica of the Aphrodite of Cnidus created by the Greek sculptor Praxiteles in the 4th century BC, of which the original has disappeared.
